Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

This week officially marks the annual shamrock shake tradition. Confession time… how many of you enjoy one of McDonald’s shamrock shakes this time of year? They are so…. good, aren’t they?! I just happen to agree with you. But, you and I both know how unhealthy these shakes are for us!

Why does everything in life that tastes so good have to be “bad” for us?!

This year skip McDonald’s unhealthy version and blend-up your own. I have the perfect “healthy” shamrock shake your entire family will enjoy! No need to worry about taste – it is equally as delicious as your favorite fast food treat! 

Healthy Shamrock Shake (1 serving)

1/2 cup full fat coconut milk or cream

1/2 cup water

Half of an avocado

2 tablespoons raw honey

1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Handful of ice

Dark chocolate bar for shavings on the top

Directions:

~ Blend all together in a blender and enjoy ~
